The TRU approach to cleanroom cleaning: our step-by-step plan for new clients

Critical cleaning

Those who work in a cleanroom understand the importance of excellent hygiene. The smallest contamination can lead to major problems. As the leading expert in cleanroom cleaning, TRU will keep your cleanroom in pristine condition at all times. So what does a partnership with TRU entail? Our business development manager Wouter Heggerick is happy to explain.

According to Wouter, many prospective clients question the merits of an external partner. ‘If your employees have to follow a gowning procedure to enter certain rooms, a reliable expert in cleanroom cleaning is indispensable,’ explains Wouter.

1. Working smarter, not harder

‘When you outsource your cleanroom cleaning to an external partner, your production operators will have more time to focus on their core activities. This will boost both productivity and job satisfaction. No two companies are alike, which is why TRU tailors its approach to your specific needs.’

2. Face-to-face meeting

‘After signing the contract, it takes a maximum of three months for the real work to begin. The first step is a personal visit by our TRU team to assess the situation and determine whether any additional products or services are needed.’

3. Expert advice

‘When ordering products, we often follow the recommendations of our clients. If the client has no specific preference, we would be happy to recommend one of our trusted suppliers, such as Hydroflex Group. If necessary, we can also critically evaluate the client’s gowning procedure and their compliance with the new GMP guidelines. At TRU, we make sure everything is in order and advise on any potential adjustments.’

4. Ordering materials

‘From cleanrooms to critical laboratories to specialized production environments like ESD and ATEX zones: our clients always have the final say when it comes to materials. During this stage, we order our own TRU-labelled trolley to ensure that it arrives on time.’

5. Motivated employees wanted

‘Finding qualified team members is the biggest challenge in our sector – a challenge we take very seriously at TRU. We look for potential candidates in the local area so they can easily commute to and from work. We post vacancies with pre-calculated hours for quick responses, and our operational manager holds job interviews at the client’s location. We give new employees an overview of the gowning procedure and extensive GMP training to ease them into their new role. In our experience, this equips them with the knowledge to start their new job with confidence.’

What happens if a company’s dedicated cleaning team is unavailable? ‘We have mobile cleaners to cover sick leave, vacations, and periodic assignments. These cleaners have flexible schedules and enjoy the diverse nature of their job. They are highly skilled and well-versed in the needs and procedures of our clients.’

6. Continuous support by TRU

‘Our business development manager is your primary contact for structural partnership changes, while our operational manager oversees the daily cleaning activities. The entire TRU team is always available and loves to proactively work alongside you.’

7. Thorough quality control

‘At TRU, we take quality control very seriously. We conduct unannounced inspections several times a year to check that our employees follow procedures. During these inspections, we ask our employees various questions to test their knowledge of these procedures. This process is much more thorough than that of our competitors: we don't just give a score; we delve deeper to ensure that all aspects of our operations meet our high quality standards. We also encourage our clients to carry out their own inspections as well.’

8. KPIs and progress

‘We meet with our clients regularly to discuss our partnership. This can range from quarterly to annual meetings, depending on the size of the company. During these meetings, our CEO and our operational manager review key performance indicators and assess progress, taking into account the materials, products and procedures used.’

Thanks to this professional and unique approach tailored to the specific needs of your business, TRU can guarantee that your cleanrooms are spotless and safe for your employees and your production processes.
